Services for Jean R. “Mamaw” Shryock Rich, 74, of 3190 St. John Road, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home.
She died 2:45 a.m. Sunday at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
A native of Garrett in Floyd County, she was a retired cook, having owned and worked in several area restaurants including, most recently, Harrod’s Restaurant; and was a member of East Capital Praise Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Harold T. Rich; two daughters, Pat Harrod and Betty Eastman, both of Frankfort; three sons, Johnny Shryock, Laymon Shryock and Lee Shryock, all of Frankfort; her mother, Eliza Ritchie, Frankfort; five sisters, Margie Lafoe, Mallie Purvis and Hattie Norton, all of Frankfort, Eddie Pipkins, Fort Myers, Fla., and Catherine Cloyd, Slade; three brothers, Stanley, Raymond and Edward Ritchie, all of Frankfort; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was the widow of Robert E. “Bob” Shryock, the daughter of the late Oda Shelton Ritchie, and was preceded in death by a brother, Ben Ritchie, and a grandson, Steven Dale Eastman.
The Rev. Johnny Dunbar will officiate at the service,
Bearers will be Ryan Shryock, B.J. Perry, Rob Harrod, Donald “Chip” Shryock, Brad Shryock, Bobby Elliot and Joel Corbin.
Honorary bearers will be Mike Harrod, Brian Harrod, Lisa Cook, Missie Smith, Kimberly Eastman and Carrey Mynhier.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
