OWENTON – Services for Maxine Kells Allnut, 72, of 96 Davis Lake Road, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the McDonald Funeral Home, Main Street.

She died Sunday at the Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. Burial will be in the Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Born in Grant County, she was retired as business manager for Payne Chevrolet and also worked as a substitute mail carrier for the Owenton Post Office. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, a former volunteer at the First Baptist Family Life Center, an auxiliary member of the Rural Mail Carriers, a mailbox member of the Owenton Homemakers, a member of the Eastern Star, and a Cub Scout leader.

Survivors include one son, Greg Allnutt, Bowling Green; one daughter, Connie Maddox, Crittenden; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the widow of Bobby Lee Allnutt and the daughter of the late Robert Kells Jr. and Bessie Vice Kells. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Kells.

The Rev. Daven Watkins and the Rev. Terry Peer will officiate.

Donations may be made to the Camp Northward Fund of the Sherman Church of Christ or the Owenton First Baptist Church Family Life Center.
