Bertha Bishop Dean, 86, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Services for Mrs. Dean will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Sherman Warfield officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m.

A native of Clay County, Kentucky, she was born May 24, 1926. Mrs. Dean was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Dean; a grandson, Kevin Hardy; her parents, Susan and Stephen Bishop; and brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Dean is survived by children, Paul (Connie) Dean, Jessie (Steve) Sandlin, Beulah Hardy, Brice (Brenda) Dean, Willard (Sally) Dean, Effie (Gary) Carpenter, Nellie (Anthony) Howe, Stella (Doug Rathbun) Dean; grandchildren, Paula (Lance) Boutcher, Scott (Marsha) Dean, Carol (Travis Greenwell) Coley, Steven (Judi) Sandlin, Chris (Tina) Sandlin, Charles Brice (Tammy) Dean, Kelly (Michael) Neal, Dwayne (Stephanie) Dean, Jon (Casey) Dean, Angela (Robert Marshall) Smith, Baily Hudson, Jayla (John) Widener, Brandon (Emily) Riley, April (Jeffrey) Phillips, Andrew (Erin) Howe, Darcy Dean-Rathburn, Brittany Carpenter; great grandchildren, Logan Boutcher, Eric Dean, Laura Masters, Michael Wright, Jacob Loman, Aven Loman, Sirena Sandlin, Morgan Petty, Megan Gimmell, Blake Sandlin, Kaylee Sandlin, Devlin Dean, Ciara Smith, Jenna Dean, Cora Dean, Kylie Dean, Delaney Dean, Brooke Smith, Zachary Marshall, Kiara Rodgers, Dakota Rodgers, Brayden Widener, Leighann Neal; and great-great grandchild, Ozrik Masters.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Howe, Baily Hudson, Scott Dean, Jon Dean, Dwayne Dean, Charles Brice Dean, Chris Sandlin and Steven Sandlin.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Dean are suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children Lexington, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40502.
