Crews with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet were sent to clean up scrap metal shards that were scattered across U.S. 127 in Owen County early Monday morning.
The metal pieces were found from mile marker 6 to 13, said Transportation Cabinet spokesman Ryan Watts.
Watts said its unknown where the debris came from and crews were out at 4 a.m. cleaning it up.
The road is definitely drivable, Watts said.
