For the second time in less than a week, police arrested someone for driving the wrong way down Interstate 64.

Frankfort police received a complaint about a car driving erratically around 7:15 p.m. Saturday on Georgetown Road, according to a press release.

Linda Claus, 70, of Frankfort, was driving the vehicle and exited off Versailles Road onto I-64 traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes.

She allegedly almost struck other vehicles head on, according to a Frankfort Police Department release.

Officer Randy Cummins started traveling east on I-64 when he saw the vehicle. Cummins accelerated ahead, made a u-turn and drove down the centerline of westbound I-64 approaching Claus head on.

Cummins turned his emergency lights and sirens on and Claus pulled over to the shoulder of the highway, according to the release.

Claus is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Shortly after midnight Thursday, Kentucky State Police were dispatched to a driver traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-64 starting near mile marker 65.

Danny Hollingsworth, 32, of Versailles, traveled about eight miles before being stopped by state police.

Hollingsworth is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a vehicle and four other traffic offenses.

He is currently lodged in Franklin County Regional Jail on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Franklin District Court Tuesday afternoon.
