Accused youth football thief will face grand jury

The woman accused of stealing money from a Frankfort Youth Football League team had her case waived to a Franklin County grand jury Tuesday.
Amanda Gonzalez is charged with theft by unlawful taking for allegedly stealing more than $2,600 from the Jets.
The Franklin County Sheriffs Office conducted an investigation into the finances of the Jets at the request of Franklin County Attorney Rick Sparks and discovered the missing funds.
Sheriff Pat Melton said they uncovered more than $2,600 in fraudulent expenditures.
Gonzalez was allegedly taking the money from the teams bank account and spending it on personal matters.
Melton said she wasnt the teams coach but had access to the bank account.
There was also one other team investigated by Meltons office, but no criminal charges were filed.
