Softball Results

Here are the results of the softball tournament games played Thursday at Lakeview Park.

Major League

Jayhawks 22, Cowboys 18

The Capital City Trophy Jayhawks defeated the Staxx BBQ Cowboys to advance to Monday’s championship game and will face the Peach Rentals Tigers.

Getting hits for the Jayhawks were Rhealee Ellis with a home run and four singles, Jade Smith with two doubles and three singles,  Trinity Gottler with a double and three singles, Jordan Harris and BriAnna Walker with four singles each, Layah Fox and Maddie Shipley with a double and two singles each, and Keeli Lightfoot and Ainye’ Rogers with three singles each.

Those with hits for the Cowboys were Zania with two home runs and two doubles, Jordan Gaines with a home run and two singles.  Miranda Nesselrode with four singles, Allegra Renfroe with a triple, double and single, Kaylin Mullins with a double and two singles,  McKenna Teasley with three singles, Ryleigh Darnell and Harper Heffley with two singles each, Ke’tara Jones with a double, and Haley Janssen, Ariana Steele and Ayoina Mays-Clark with a single each. 

Instructional League

The Wizards and Dazzlers will face each other in Monday’s championship game.

Wizards 19, Pink Sox 7

Getting hits for the Wizards were Allison Jones with a home run, double and single, Isabella Gatewood with a home run and double, Makayla Muravchick, Mallory Fint and Hannah Dawson with a triple, double and single each, Holland Riddell with a triple and two singles, Ayana Raglin with a double and single, and Chloe Simpson and Lauren Parker with two singles each.

Those with hits for the Pink Sox were Taylor Doss with a home run, triple and single, Sydney Snyder with a double and two singles, Tia McGee with a double and single, Aubrey Reeves with a double, and Avery Lofton and Emoree Rhodes with a single each.

Dazzlers 10, Angels 0

Getting hits for the Dazzlers were Samantha Ramsey with a triple and two singles, Maddie Starkey with a double and two singles, Jaina Bishop and Michaela Galyon with three singles each, Sadie Dungan with a double and single, and Hannah Drury, Emma Cait Johnson and Ella Denton with two singles each.

Those with hits for the Angels were Audrey Goins and Shelby Byrd with two singles each, and Mia Greer, Brooklyn Coley, Makiyia Wheeler and Vennela Uppala with a single each. 

Flames 9, Diamonds 6

Getting hits for the Flames were Madison McCoy, Anne Marie Justice and Hadley Hurst with a double and two singles each, Taylor Gaines, Aubrey Goins, Sierra Maupin and Samantha O’Brien with three singles each, and Alexis Fox with a double and single.

Those with hits for the Diamonds were Halle Hunter and Shelby Langan with a double and two singles each, Ashlyn Willard and Lynlee Quarles with three singles each, Maleah Quinn with a triple and single, Amiya Thurman, Meadow Whitaker and Abigail Heim with two singles each, and Haley Early and Kaydence Chadwell with a single each. 

Wildcats 16, Sluggers 12

Getting hits for the Wildcats were Karis Nickell with a double and two singles, Makayla Cummins, Maseyn Hedges and Larissa Abbott with three singles each, Elizabeth Hall with a double and single, and Addie Hornbeck, Camryn Kelly, Emma Moore, Corynn Richie and Ellie Veno with two singles each.

Those with hits for the Sluggers were Riley Parido with three singles, Zoe Butler, and Jasmine Koenig, Chelsea Blackburn, Kara Schwaniger, Cate Looney, Molly Boswell, Makalee Hensley, Olivia Weaver, Kendall Quire and Makenzie Ratliff with two singles each.
