U.S. stocks and Treasury prices are diving after Federal Reserve policymakers said they worry that hiring might slow down if economic growth doesn't improve.

The Dow Jones industrial average is down about 100 points at 13,164. It was down 40 when the Fed released minutes from its March meeting. The S&P 500 is down 10 at 1,408. The Nasdaq is down 13 at 3,107.

Rampant selling by bond traders raised the yield on the 10-year Treasury note to 2.27 percent from 2.16 percent earlier Tuesday. Gold is down $29 an ounce at $1,651 after being virtually unchanged earlier.
