PLANO, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 09/27/12 -- e-Rewards, Inc., a global leader in digital data collection, has partnered with Kiva, the world's first and largest micro lending website, to become Kiva's exclusive market research survey partner. This relationship will further the work and recognition of Kiva, and leverage the breadth of relationships that e-Rewards has with its 1,200 employees, over 3,000 clients and millions of active survey respondents in 38 countries around the world. As part of this partnership, e-Rewards has made an initial charitable contribution and established a loan fund, which will be funded with a minimum of $450,000, to provide microloans in support of entrepreneurs in developing countries.
Kurt Knapton, President and Chief Executive Officer at e-Rewards, Inc., noted the commonality between Kiva and e-Rewards saying, "This partnership links two very entrepreneurial organizations who digitally connect with thousands of people every day across the globe. Kiva's mission of connecting people through lending to alleviate poverty really resonated with our team and helps to exemplify our 'give back' core value. We share a common vision of improving our global community, and through this unique partnership, we are able to engage survey respondents, employees, clients and vendors in supporting the good work of Kiva."
e-Rewards officially kicked off its partnership this week by issuing $25 Kiva credits to its entire global employee workforce, encouraging staff to use the Kiva.org website to distribute the credits to entrepreneurs of their choice in impoverished locations. Employee involvement represents the first step in a broader program that e-Rewards plans to expand to include millions of its panel members who respond to research surveys on a regular basis.
Knapton continued: "As representatives of the market research community, we are proud to not only advance global understanding through listening, but to also help unlock the tremendous charitable potential of market research participation worldwide. We hope to leverage our business model to help change the world one survey at a time."
"With the support of e-Rewards, Kiva can now reach many more entrepreneurs around the world, working to lift themselves, their families and communities out of poverty," said Premal Shah, President of Kiva. "e-Rewards' contribution and engagement with staff, vendors and survey respondents will prove to be a powerful force, creating opportunity in the world's largest cities and most remote villages."
Since its inception in 2005, Kiva lenders have provided more than $360 million in loans to over 870,000 borrowers worldwide.
