FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) -- Hertha Berlin's midfielder Andreas Ottl has been banned for three Bundesliga matches in another blow to the relegation-threatened club, which sacked coach Michael Skibbe on Sunday.
Ottl earned a red card for a rough tackle in Saturday's 5-0 loss in Stuttgart and was suspended Monday by Germany's football federation. The club has not won in 10 games and is two points above the relegation zone.
Skibbe was fired after only five games in charge, all losses.
Ottl will miss matches against Borussia Dortmund, in Augsburg and against Werder Bremen.
