DORTMUND, Germany (AP) -- Borussia Dortmund captain Sebastian Kehl has agreed to stay with the Bundesliga leaders for at least another season.
Dortmund says the 32-year-old midfielder extended his contract by a season with an option for a further term to June 2014. His current deal had been due to expire at the end of this season.
Kehl says he is happy to stay on at a "very special club."
Along with 31 caps for Germany, Kehl has played in 203 Bundesliga games for Dortmund since joining from Freiburg in 2003.
Defending champion Dortmund leads the Bundesliga by three points from Borussia Moenchengladbach.
