ROME (AP) -- AC Milan's appeal to reduce Zlatan Ibrahimovic's three-match ban has been rejected, keeping the striker out of Saturday's match with Juventus.
Ibrahimovic has already sat out two matches for slapping his right hand on the side of defender Salvatore Aronica's face in a 0-0 draw with Napoli on Feb. 5.
Milan was hoping the third match in the ban could be wiped out, but a football federation court turned the appeal down Thursday.
Milan leads Juventus by one point but the Turin club has a game in hand.
Ibrahimovic has scored 15 goals in Serie A thus far, two behind league leader Antonio Di Natale of Udinese.
