PARIS (AP) -- Having failed to strike a potentially decisive blow in the title race, French leader Paris Saint-Germain protects its slender lead away to former champion Lyon this weekend.

PSG is only one point ahead of second-place Montpellier after failing to beat its main rival at home last weekend, and PSG was lucky to escape with a 2-2 draw thanks to a late equalizer from striker Guillaume Hoarau.

Not only did PSG's costly squad fail to beat a team that has spent 100 times less this season, it was also outplayed for large spells at Parc des Princes.

The spotlight will be firmly on Carlo Ancelotti's €100-million ($132 million) team at Stade Gerland on Saturday night, when another slip-up would further boost Montpellier's title aspirations.
