Loss has No. 10 Tennessee looking for answers

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee coaches can't pinpoint why the Lady Volunteers are so up and down.

They will practice so well and beat one team resoundingly only to lose to the next opponent.

The Lady Vols pledged when the season began that they would not go a fourth season in a row without reaching the Final Four and would try to win a national championship to honor coach Pat Summitt, who announced in August she'd been diagnosed with early onset dementia.

Instead, they've put together the most inconsistent level of play the coaches say they've ever seen.

Time is running out to find answers.

The Lady Vols (20-8, 11-4 Southeastern Conference) host Florida (18-10, 8-7) on Sunday for the final regular season game.
