Both U.S. gymnastics teams got favorable draws for the London Olympics. The British men? Not so much.
The U.S. men and women got the middle qualifying sessions when the Olympic draw was held Friday. The women will compete in the third of five qualifying sessions July 29 along with host Britain, while the U.S. men and Japan drew the second of three qualifying sessions July 28.
But Britain's men, who are sending a full team to an Olympics for the first time since 1992, got the first qualifying session along with defending world and Olympic champion China.
With the first qualifying session starting at 11 a.m. local time in London, the British will need an early wake-up call to have time to get ready and warm up before the event.
