AEK, OFI draw 1-1 in Greek league

ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- AEK forward Nikos Lyberopoulos and OFI midfielder Jorge Lopez scored with second-half headers for a 1-1 draw Sunday in the Greek league.

The match was played before empty stands at the 70,000-seat Athens Olympic Stadium because AEK owes back taxes and could not legally issue tickets.

The draw left AEK in fourth place, 16 points behind league leader Panathinaikos. OFI is sixth.

This was the only league game at the weekend because Greece's Superleague teams are protesting a new sports law limiting the football federation's powers.

Lyberopoulos headed in a cross by Leonardo in the 55th minute, but AEK was left a man short three minutes later when defender Costas Manolas got a second yellow card for a dangerous tackle.

Jorge Lopez equalized in the 66th.
