US teen Sarah Hendrickson wins again


ZAO, Japan (AP) -- American teenager Sarah Hendrickson won for the eighth time in the first 12 events in the inaugural women's World Cup ski jumping season, edging Japan's Sara Takanashi on Sunday.

The 17-year-old Hendrickson, from Park City, Utah, wrapped up the overall title Saturday.

She finished with 249.1 points Sunday on jumps of 98.0 and 94.5 meters.

Jessica Jerome, also from Park City, was fifth.

The season will end next weekend in Norway.
