HOUSTON (AP) -- The U.S. national rugby team will face Italy in Houston this summer, the only international match for the Americans in their home country this year.
The match will be played June 23 at BBVA Compass Stadium, the future home of the Houston Dynamo, of Major League Soccer. The rugby match will be the first international event held at the 22,000-seat stadium, which is still under construction on the east side of the city. It is scheduled to open in May.
The U.S. is also set to play Canada in Kingston, Ontario, on June 9 and Georgia on June 16, with the site still to be announced.
