ATLANTA (AP) -- Miami guard Durand Scott, the Hurricanes' leading scorer, is not playing in Friday night's ACC tournament game against Florida State.
Miami announced before the game it has declared Scott ineligible for receiving impermissible benefits. It is seeking Scott's reinstatement from the NCAA. The school did not disclose further details in a statement.
Sophomore Rion Brown is starting for Scott against Florida State.
Scott, who had 11 points in Miami's win over Georgia Tech on Thursday night, leads the team with his average of 12.9 points per game.
