BIRMINGHAM, England (AP) -- Fulham's three-match winning streak in the English Premier League ended Saturday with a 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa.
Fulham had surged up the standings with wins over Stoke, Queens Park Rangers and Wolverhampton Wanderers but the west London side conceded a last-minute goal to Andreas Weimann.
The Cottagers had lost midfielder Danny Murphy at halftime after the captain took a blow to the head and almost conceded in the 61st when Marc Albrighton hit the bar with a rising shot.
Weimann clinched Villa's first win in seven matches with his first ever goal for the club.
