Notre Dame earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament as expected, and the Irish will play at least one game on their home floor in South Bend.

Notre Dame will meet Liberty (24-8) on Sunday at the Purcell Pavilion as part of the Raleigh regional. Win that game, and the Irish will play No. 8-seeded California or ninth-seeded Iowa.

The Irish (30-3) are a No. 1 seed for the first time since 2001, when they won the national championship. As a No. 2 seed a year ago, they knocked off Tennessee in the regional finals and UConn in the semifinals before losing to Texas A&M in the national championship game.
