ROME (AP) -- Roma kept alive its hopes of returning to the Champions League with a 1-0 win over Genoa on Monday.
Argentine-born Italy striker Pablo Osvaldo scored with an angled shot three minutes in, while Rodrigo Palacio hit the crossbar with Genoa's best opportunity in the 71st.
Roma moved within four points of city rival Lazio, which is currently in third place, a berth into the final round of Champions League qualifying.
Lazio has 48 points, Napoli and Udinese are next with 47 each and Roma is sixth with 44.
Roma's run in Europe this season ended in August with a Europa League playoff loss to Slovan Bratislava.
The match was played on Monday due to a conflict with the Italy-Scotland rugby match at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.
