TURIN, Italy (AP) -- Juventus defender Paolo De Ceglie has signed a five-year contract extension through to 2017 at the Serie A club.

De Ceglie signed the deal on Wednesday. He progressed through the ranks at Juventus, making his first-team debut in 2006 following the club's relegation to Serie B in the wake of the Calciopoli scandal.

Juventus is second in Serie A and drew 2-2 with AC Milan after extra time on Tuesday to progress to the Italian Cup final 4-3 on aggregate.
