Spurs score late to draw 1-1 with Stoke in EPL

LONDON (AP) -- Tottenham needed an injury-time equalizer from Rafael van der Vaart to avoid a fourth straight Premier League defeat and draw 1-1 with Stoke on Wednesday.

Spurs lost their previous three games to Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton and fell behind again at White Hart Lane to Cameron Jerome's 75th-minute goal.

Van der Vaart leveled with a header from Gareth Bale's cross but Tottenham's challenge for third place and automatic Champions League qualification took another hit.

Tottenham players warmed up for the game wearing T-shirts bearing the slogan "Get Well Soon Fabrice" in support of Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba, who collapsed at White Hart Lane on Saturday suffering from a cardiac arrest.
