MANCHESTER, England (AP) -- Carlos Tevez made his first appearance for Manchester City in six months after coming on as a 66th-minute substitute against Chelsea on Wednesday.
The Argentina striker had not played for City since refusing to warm up during a Champions League match against Bayern Munich last September.
Tevez finally apologized for his conduct and returned to training at City five weeks ago after an unauthorized three-month trip to Argentina.
City was losing 1-0 when Tevez was sent on to a mixture of boos and cheers from the home supporters.
City is second in the standings, four points behind defending champion Manchester United ahead of the result against Chelsea.
