Indians send four players to minors

GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) -- The Cleveland Indians sent former first-round draft pick Trevor Crowe and three others to the minor leagues on Thursday.

Crowe, a switch-hitting outfielder who missed most of last season after having surgery on his right shoulder, was reassigned to minor-league camp along with right-hander Chen-Chang Lee from Taiwan. Optioned to Triple-A Columbus were infielder Cord Phelps and right-hander Zach McAllister. Only Lee has yet to appear in a major league game.

Cleveland has 46 players remaining in its big league camp.

Crowe was the 14th overall pick in 2005, from the University of Oregon. In 205 games over the past three years for Cleveland, he has hit .245 with three homers and 29 steals.
