Kerri Walsh Jennings isn't wasting any time breaking in her latest beach volleyball gold medal.
Walsh Jennings dropped her medal on the cement the morning after she and partner Misty May-Treanor captured a third straight Olympic title. The medal was scratched in two spots along the rim.
No big deal, Walsh Jennings said. With two little ones running around at home, things have a tendency to get dinged.
She won't consider tucking this medal or her others away in a safe place.
"People find inspiration in it," she said. "I'm blessed that I can share it."
