GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) -- Celtic followed up its memorable victory over Barcelona in the Champions League by being held to a 1-1 draw by St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premier League on Sunday.
There was a tangible sense of anti-climax inside Celtic Park following the 2-1 win in Glasgow over Barcelona on Wednesday.
Even when substitute Tony Watt, who scored the winning goal on Wednesday, put the hosts ahead they did not look convincing.
Saints, who had been thrashed 5-0 at Celtic Park in the Scottish League Cup quarterfinals, leveled through Nigel Hasselbaink in the 76th minute.
The draw leaves defending champion Celtic with two points from the last three matches to sit two behind leader Hibernian at the top of the standings.
