Benfica beats Olhanense 2-0 to take league lead

LISBON, Portugal (AP) -- Benfica beat visiting Olhanense 2-0 to remain undefeated and take the overnight lead of the Portuguese league on Saturday.

Oscar Cardozo opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a penalty kick after Olhanense's Vasco Fernandes fouled Maximiliano "Maxi" Pereira in the area.

Benfica center back Luisao sealed the win in the 72nd with a header.

FC Porto can stay even on points with Benfica with a win at third-place Braga on Sunday.

Olhanense remained winless away this season and is in danger of sliding into the lower part of the standings.
