Espanyol player accuses Spanish referees of racism

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -- Espanyol's Wakaso Mubarak has accused referees in the Spanish league of racism.

The Ghana midfielder says "I feel bad saying this, but referees book players because of the color of their skin. I think referees respect some players and others no."

Wakaso leads the Spanish league in yellow cards this season with eight.

Espanyol is in last place after 12 rounds.
