MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) -- Isaiah Canaan fell one point short of tying a career-high with 35 points and Murray State edged Morehead State 106-100 in double overtime Wednesday night.
Ed Daniel added 18 points, Brandon Garrett 16, and Stacy Wilson 10 for the Racers, who snapped a two-game skid and wrapped up an Ohio Valley Conference West Division title with the win.
Murray State (19-7, 10-4) outscored the Eagles 16-7 over the first 4:30 of the second half to take a commanding 53-37 lead. But Morehead State clawed back to force overtime on a Bakari Turner 3-pointer with 7 seconds left.
After a tip-in by Daniel with 4 seconds left in the first overtime forced another extra frame, Canaan scored eight points during a 10-1 run to open the second overtime and seal the win.
Morehead State (13-15, 7-7), which had won two straight, was led by Chavis Milton's 22 points.
