Paws Up & Read " Children read to dogs

Published:

All children who like to read are once again invited to the next session of Paws Up & READ on February 9, 2008 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. To sign up you may call 502-352-2665 or stop by the Youth Services Desk, 2nd Floor, Paul Sawyier Public Library.

The Paws Up & READ program is a collaboration between the Paul Sawyer Public Library and Pawsibilities Unleashed Pet Therapy (PUPT). Children can read their favorite books to specially trained dogs provided by PUPT. It is open to any child that wants to read. It helps to build confidence for the beginning reader and as well as the accomplished reader. Children who have trouble reading aloud or who do not have a lot of self-confidence in reading aloud would also benefit from the program.
