I watched a portion of the Senate in special session this morning. In the 20-25 minutes or so that I watched, they spent at least 15 minutes of that time extolling the virtues of the retiring Rev. Jackson Brewer. While I agreed wholeheartedly with the sentiments, is this what we are paying thousands of dollars a day for them to do? Aren't they there to pass a budget (which they had plenty of time to pass in regular session)? Later they were praising Janet or Janice. Come on guys, give the taxpayers a break and spend your limited time being efficient and doing the job we brought you here to do.
