I recently discovered that Fox 41 channel 2 from Louisville had been dropped as of Jan. 1. That was the only channel Frankfort had that carried local news and weather from 5:00 am to 9:00. Most local channels switch to national news at 7:00. The replacement Fox channel is 5 WDKY in Lexington. They only offer news from 7:00 - 8:00.
Since our weather comes from the west I think Frankfort has lost a great source for current weather. Lexington usually posts weather alerts about the time they are already in Frankfort.
Apparently the plant board thinks WDRB wants too much for their service and WDRB thinks the plant board wants something for nothing.
Regardless, I think the viewers of Frankfort have been dealt a disservice with the loss of WDRB and replaced with a station with inferior programming.
