The Frankfort Area Swim Team (FAST) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Coach for its year round swim team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, energetic individual seeking to help lead a team to a new standard.

FAST is an established program that began in 1965, and is Frankfort's oldest swim program with 25+ registered competitive swimmers. The team trains year round at Kentucky State University, an 8 lane 25y indoor pool, and in the summer at Juniper Hill, a 6 lane 50m outdoor pool.

The assistant coach will be responsible for the helping lead the team, parent communications, as well as assisting in the design and implementation of workouts and management of swimmers. The assistant coach must also have a solid understanding of stroke technique, swimmer development, and have had previous coaching and/or competitive swimming experience at the senior, collegiate, national, or international level. The assistant coach will be expected to take part in a full season meet schedule and must become CPR, AED, First Aid and Lifeguard certified as well as registered with USA Swimming. The coach must also pass a background investigation.

The position will be 10-15 deck hours per week plus meets. Compensation will be negotiated depending on level of experience, credentials, and history of success.

Applicants that wish to be a part of a successful growing team should visit our website at www.fastswimteam.org and fill out the coach's application, as well as forward a resume, three professional references and a cover letter outlining interest in our organization to the attention of Renee Thomas at miller0900@gmail.com
