NO "PINK SLIME" IN GROUND MEAT AT PICPAC

Published:

For your info - The good owners/operators of PicPac grocery on Second Street assure me they do not put "pink slime" in their ground meats.

Pink slime is the questionable, but FDA-approved addition of scrap meat and fat parts that I understand are treated with amonia and the resulting slime is added to ground meat to "enhance" it.

I suspect that before long due to the alarm and outcry of the public, pink slime will not be included in ground meat sold at retail stores. I hope they get the slime out of school lunches immediately. Good luck knowing what's in the ground meat sold at restaurants....

Thanks, PicPac.
