The Frankfort Performing Arts Ensemble will hold open auditions for William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Paul Sawyier Public Library Community Room. Those auditioning are welcome anytime between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM. There are over 20 speaking roles to be filled by various age ranges. Ages 6 and up are welcome to audition and no prior experience is required. Auditions will consist of cold readings and a copy of the script can be found at www.gutenberg.org.

This production will be the first annual "Shakespeare on the River" summer production at Ward Oates Amphitheater. Production dates will be June 13 " 17, 2012.

As a non-profit organization, the mission of the Frankfort Performing Arts Ensemble is to provide a creative, collaborative, and challenging environment to those in our community through educational workshops, classes, and productions for youth and adults; enriching the cultural life of the Greater Frankfort area; and entertaining the public with a diverse collection of quality theatre performances. The Ensemble's intent is to create a sustainable theatre company that will increase artistic expression, highlight local talent, and provide hands-on learning experiences to members of our community.
