KRS board to meet Thursday

Published:

The work of the Kentucky Retirement Systems impacts thousands of Franklin County residents, but, sad to say, few retirees take the time to attend board meetings. At a typical meeting, no more than four or five retirees are in attendance. We as direct stakeholders in the board's work need to "pay attention to our pension," especially in view of the dangerous financial condition of the KERS retirement fund.
The next meeting of the KRS board is 9 a.m. Thursday, May 17, at the KRS offices, 1270 Louisville Road.
