Protesting students and concerned alumni helped pack the October 25, 2013 Kentucky State University Board of Regents meeting. Sparked by the dismissal of popular former Staff Regent Leslie Thomas, a movement began that brought continuous problems to the forefront. Though the Administration has tried to down-play the scope of the activists, there was no denying there were more than the 15 upset students that one administrator told an alumnus. Many more were removed due to capacity being met and tried to watch from the doors. With the room able to hold 75, at least that many students came and several alumni who supported them also attended.
