CCDW & Gay Marriage

Obama Fan Published:

Why is it that the right to bear arms which is a guaranteed right by the Constitution states do not have to recognize other states CCDW permits?  Yet the courts have ruled that states must recognize other states "gay marriages". It is a sad day in America.  I must have missed the section in History class where gay marriage was mentioned.

  •     There's that juvenile mentality coming out of you again Waterboy. Yeah I'm a redneck and your jealousy shows your ignorance. From your statement I see that you have the hate and fear of "queers". Why else would you say such hate exists in others when it plainly is coming from your keyboard?

Other than spouting ridiculous accusations from the left corner of that rounded mouth of yours what proof do you have that I'm racist? Simply disagreeing with a poor example of a wannabe president is no proof. And furthermore, my Christian values and belief in traditional marriage doesn't seem to produce any racist, hate or bigotry. It is deafening loud mouths like you that interject such things  because you cannot promote a sound challenge to my beliefs so you invent them as you keep spewing your hate towards others that disagree with your points if view and beliefs.

Unless you can prove 100% that I am what you say I am, my suggestion still stands.. STFU... That's some solid advice given freely to a worm like you Legion of HOMO....

  • Some redneck challenged folks resort to "STFU" when they cannot mount an effective response.

Their thought pattern: "God I hate queers, cause I are one...", fear and self-loathing.

  • I know Fry. But I can't choose a different color font to dress it up. Maybe you should use your 30 years of employment there as influence to get some pretty colors for font settings.

  • My my, 'STFU' aren't very pretty words, either. *smh*

  • Legion/HOMO how bout you STFU for a little while. I grow tired of your juvenile attacks and smart a$$ remarks.

  • He is not "our first black president."  Such a statement encompasses a contradiction in terms.

The question is, what duty is there to treat everyone "fair and equal?"  A God-created duty?  The UKFan's church may teach that.  Fine.  But I don't believe that.  Not my religion.

Legion should take his hands off his boyfriend, and give us his "scientific" answer to this question.

  • ukfan, maybe it is time for us to stop feeding the trolls...

  • I truly agree that sin is the nastiness of the world. See we agree again. And yes it is probably a dream but if you can't dream it would be a dull world.

  • ukfan you just said the one true reason why a utopian world wouldn't be a good idea.. It's a dream. if things were Fair and Equal that means no different ideas, no different technology, no difference in anything. Life is not meant to be Fair and Equal. Acceptance would be a much preferable solution, but you cannot even expect total acceptance, it's not as simple as passing legislation, ordinances, or rules for all to follow.

A perfect world would be nice but it's not going to happen and it can't be forced either. I'd like to tell you that sin for the lack of a better word, has put the world into the spin it's in. Your a church goer, ask your pastor of sin is not responsible for the nasty of the world today?

  • No the point WAS you should not call other people awful names like school children. When you do that what does it prove? It doesn't make your point any better. Can you truly tell me what would be so bad to live in an utopian world where its "fair and equal" for all people? You do know that utopia is a place of ideal perfection? It will never happen except in heaven perhaps but it's always good to dream about it.

  • OMG you crack me up ukfan...So I guess since I'm white, I'm not allowed to call other white people honkie? How about cracka, can I call them cracka?

The point since I know you missed it way more than a mile is that the Liberal party is mainly made up of utopian minded white people who could care less about the poor or minorities. But persons like yourself follow blindly because they say it's good for the poor or minorities to have others work 40 plus hours a week to care for those who can actually care for themselves. It's that EQUAL thingy again. But I don't see what's EQUAL about others working to care for those who can work. Yet Liberals throw all in the mix and say one's who don't support their way of thinking have to be racist, bigoted haters. And that builds up the Liberals base of hate towards others.

It's totalitarian methodology with a twist of psychopaths mixed in to give it that right amount of ignorance and stupidity and pass it off as compassion wanting to live in a utopian world of Fair and Equality with Injustice against all who differ with them.

  • pitchfork says to Legion "Truth hurts and a liberal like you in turn points and calls names to those who differs in views than you. And you call yourself tolerant. For shame, for shame on you!"

    Really?

Then pitchfork says..."Guilty ridden white people are responsible for all this mess. Dumb a$$ honkies need to stay home and watch reruns of Leave it to Beaver and stay out of other people's lives."

I think maybe your "toolbox" is empty.

  • I called the policies set forth by this administration detrimental and that's racist? I called what Obama is doing detrimental to this country and that's being a bigot. I called Obama a weak terrible inconsiderate leader and that's being a hater? Oh forgot.. I called him a Socialist too.

Ok then I want you to prove anything I said that was racist, bigoted, well yeah like millions of Americans I do hate him, but not because he's black,, because he's a LIAR...

But, given that you favor Liberal views and approve Liberal actions is only safe to say that you call me these things because..... here it comes.... You're a Liberal and anything negative I say about the messiah, chosen one, whatever you're going to say I'm racist, hater, bigoted. So in your own words That's hate...Also you say Characterize which is a good crawlfish for not saying "I called you"? But basically you are calling me those.

As far as being a Christian there's no delusion about my belief. Only delusion is you thinking there isn't a God. One day you'll find out I reckon. To bad I can't be there to tell you..TOLD YOU SO... I'll be over at the VIP line getting access.

And what I say about gay folks? What that I do not recoginize same-sex marriage and why do LGBT's need special FORCED legislation for people to accept them for their life style choices and be FAIR or have FAIRNESS for them?

I'd really hate to see what you'd say, or characterize me with if I started talking about Unions, Black Panther Party, NAACP and how they promote hate towards the black conservatives like Tim Scott, or Dr. Ben Carson.

Oh BTW it;s starting to look like Dr.Ben Carson might just throw his name in the hat. So since you're for an African American being president. WIll you vote for him?

Truth hurts and a liberal like you in turn points and call names to those who differ in views than you. And you call yourself tolerent. For shame, for shame on you!

  • pitch: "You've called me white racist, bigot, hater on several, several occasions simply because I disagree with your support of the current occupier of the white house, or my harshness towards. "

I characterized you as those things because of what you wrote about our first black President that in fact, were racist, bigotted, and a hater on several occasions, as well as what you have said about gay folks.  That is not an attack, but descriptive adjectives.  So, yeah you do have to provide proof to your wild accusations.  It should not be hard if they are so "well noted".  Fact is, you can't!

I call Christians delusional because they are...I know, I used to be one of them.  Belief in the literal Garden of Eden (even when the Pope doesn't believe in it is delusional.  Tell me about the Christian values of your treatment of gays, slavery, removing subsistence funding for the poorest children among us.  In your own Bible, Christ never mentions homosexuality even once and taught that we should help the poor even if we have to sell all of our worldly possessions.

  • Sorry it sholud say "NOT BEING FAIR"  in the below post

  • legion, why should I re-post what you well know already. You've called me white racist, bigot, hater on several, several occasions simply because I disagree with your support of the current occupier of the white house, or my harshness towards. That's an attack!!!

You've call Christians and me delusional hypocrites because of our Christian values and beliefs against same-sex marriages, or being FAIR about the issue. There are past posts, and recent past issues where you have done this.

DO I really need to go back and get every single title heading of issues you have posted on just to show and point out what you already know you've done.

I guess owning up just isn't in your tool box.

  • g_w: "I agree we must agree to disagree to keep the conversation civil, however it makes me wonder if that approach is always used how does anything get accomplished?"

Through compromise...although we are not trying to get anything accomplished here, just having a friendly public debate where an impasse is OK.

g_w: "Have you heard the one about what you call the bus full of lawyers going over the cliff? "

Um...payday for the law firm that gets the negligence suit against the bus company, or the wet dream of Darell Isaac, aka "The Heavy Hitter"?

  • pitch, please post my quote in just one instance where I have "attacked" someone who simply disagreed with me...just one.  Of for that matter if it is so "well noted", then please post just one of my "notes" expressing my "hate towards Christains and Republicans"...just one will do.  This stuff is all in your head.

  • @Legion:

Thanks for the link. I did check it out. In one way I agree we must agree to disagree to keep the conversation civil, however it makes me wonder if that approach is always used how does anything get accomplished? It would seem we are at an impasse, no? Have you heard the one about what you call the bus full of lawyers going over the cliff?

  • If you took what I said as a threat maybe it's you that has a problem understanding. I just prefer to interject some language into a conversation that can't be displayed here. There is no threat but I'm pretty sure by the way you twist things in your posts you'd probably make it to be one. SO if you feel that strongly that a threat was made. you know where the county attorney's office is. take what you think is a threat and let Rick see if it is.

I maybe some dumb a$$ redneck to you, but I don't make idle threats, that's not my style, or my way of settling things, but don't misunderstand I can take of myself.

As I stated your hate towards Christians, and republicans is well noted and if either disagrees with you, doesn't matter if you know them or not you attack. Only ones you do not attack are the ones that share your point of view, you know just like LIberals are guilty of doing. It isn't my fault that you impose that very same agenda and language as the left does.

I'm probably not the only one that sees it, I'm just probably the only one that voices against it stronger than I should I reckon. .

I could go on about how your challenges on a persons rigid paradigms oversteps the bounds of polite information and doesn't make them think it borders on insults to their beliefs and customs. And more than once you have called me racist, bigot, hater  simply because I make a different statement, or have a different point of view.

So tell me, how does that inform me or make me think by you calling me racist, bigot, hater? Tells me that since I do have those differences that according to your logic and differences that I must be some kind of psychopath.

Hate to disappoint you but I'm far from that or anything else you've called me.

  • pitch, er ah, we are all on an anonymous public opinion forum here...you too.  I have no desire to ever "find out who you really are"...or even if you "really are"...why would you ever think that I would?  My "challenges" are to inform folks and their rigid paradigms and to make people think, not to meet you "outside" and "be a man" with some sort of bizzare physical altercation to "back up what" I say. That does not make me a coward, it just means that I am not stupid!  What you are suggesting is well beyond the Terms of Service "harassing or threatening" requirements.

I let my stated logic and reasoning do all of my "backing up" and quite frankly, your simply disagreeing with my posts are not what I object to.  I never insulted you personally for simply disagreeing with me, but rather as a retort to your personal ad hominem insults to me and others that you call "liberals".  I never start it with characters like you, but I am not going to take it either. Apparently you can not deal with the fact that what I post apparently makes you uncomfortable but I cannot be responsible for that. That is on you.  What I write isn't even about you personally, as I don't know you and I don't want to...it is about what you post.

It sounds like you are some kind of psychopath...dangerous even.  BTW, It was your advice I just fed it back to you.  Bizzaro!

If you want some sane debate, drop the freakin' insults and the threats of physicla violence...

  • ukfan the best thing that anyone can ever do is pray, I wouldn't belittle you for praying for me or anyone else. I don't have hate, or guilt in my heart or in my life I own up to everything good or bad I have ever done, but when people try to go against what  is truly said and put what they think it should say in it's place that's wrong and it leads to a different understanding and leads them away from the truth. If there was more reasoning and being honest and truthfulness on matters of human nature there would be no need to be confrontational with others

People chose not to be Christian that's their choice but Christians need to stand and voice when Christian values are being used against them, and used in the wrong manner. Everybody's afraid to hurt someone's feelings or offend them that it's gotten to the point that people just settle and go along with whatever to avoid that. I'm not saying to purposely go out and hurt, but stand for your principles even if it does hurt, or offend someone who strongly disagrees with you. It's a test of your character not theirs, they have to find their strength on their own.

Legion I could care less what you call me, it's your problem, your cowardice that reflects the kind of person that you are. A shadow stalker, afraid of the light or being put on display for who you really are. You offend and insult anyone who disagrees with you. You are the one that needs to take and check your attitude and advice, but you won't  and that's a coward of the first order one who cannot remove the plank for their own eye before trying to remove the splinter from another.

Your hate towards Christians is well documented the very same hate that Satan has. Maybe you two are related! And when your yellow stripped back is against the wall you attack and call names. Pitiful is that only nice thing I can call you here.

I have no guilt for what I have done in this life or ones of past. I stand by what I believe and nothing you say or do will ever change that in me. If by chance you actually do want to ever find out my real name then put the challenge out there, be a man, back up what you say, stand for your beliefs and principles prove me wrong if you dare.

There's no worries though you won't. Internet cowards always find an excuse to not follow through. Either your parents won't let you outside after a certain time, or you got something more pressing to do like getting ready for Comic Con or your next Star Trek convention. So there you go pick one, but I prefer to just think of you as a the cowardly lion.

  • Pitch, is your first name Dick?  Whatever, you need to take your own advice..."Guilty ridden white people are responsibile for all this mess. Dumb a$$ honkies need to stay home and watch reruns of Leave it To Beaver and stay out of other peoples lives."

  • I'm going to pray for you pitch. Even that statement will probably **** you off but you have a lot of hate in you and it must be sad to live that way. I don't know what I did to make you so mad other than state my opinions on here like you do. If you don't agree fine but there is no reason to be so hateful.

  • pitch, tell it to the Pope.

Pope: "‘Tell me: when God looks at a gay person, does he endorse the existence of this person with love, or reject and condemn this person?’ We must always consider the person.”

    Pope Francis declared that:
“All religions are true, because they are true in the hearts of all those who believe in them. What other kind of truth is there? In the past, the church has been harsh on those it deemed morally wrong or sinful. Today, we no longer judge. Like a loving father, we never condemn our children. Our church is big enough for heterosexuals and homosexuals, for the pro-life and the pro-choice! For conservatives and liberals, even communists are welcome and have joined us. We all love and worship the same God.”

  • Looks like spring love is upon haight and Fry. I'd be careful of that secret handshake from the Fry boys..

As per par ukfan you mention half of what is taught in a GOD centered church. Yes love the sinner hate the sin and all people are created in GOD's image not equal in GOD's eyes. GOD hates sin period, The only time GOD hears a sinner is when they repent, and confess their sins abnd ask for forgiveness. And guess what? They are TO GO AND SIN NO MORE!

So I guess LGBT's can attend church, claim to be a Christian as long as it is convenient for them to do so or to further their agenda of FORCING people into acceptance, or use the bible as their weapon but not believe, or live by one single word of it. These churches that say their doors are open to LGBT are the very churches that are going to burn in the final days and if you read it correctly you'll see that GOD doesn't even hear their prayers or them . Go read Revelations again make sure you understand it this time.

You are positovely, abstively correct about judging yet miss the target on acceptance of their lifestyle. Christians are not to accept sin in any form or fashion. Christains are to speak of the wages of sin which is death, and the rewards of keeping from sin which is life. It's not about stopping them from living their lives, but it's about their lives making Christians accept them by legislation or rules causing Christians to make a stand for their beliefs and then get called racist, bigots and haters. The very weapons that sin and evil use against good and holy because evil and sin can't win an honest debate or fight.

I cannot accept the LGBT lifestyle. If I do then I mock my GOD and mark my life for what? SO Adam and Steve can live happily ever after. Screw that I'm looking out for me. I hate being hot and that's exactly where I'd go if I decide to follow the crowd. And before you throw my family members in my face they know exactly how I feel and respect me for that. Yet they do not FORCE anyone to accept them or their life style. They know how to live and let live. This kinda of crap makes them laugh all this FAIRNESS stuff.. lol

Guilty ridden white people are responsibile for all this mess. Dumb a$$ honkies need to stay home and watch reruns of Leave it To Beaver and stay out of other peoples lives.

  • In my church going and up bringing I was taught that God loves everyone and that all people are equal in God's eyes. Who are we to say that they should be treated any differently than any other person. That is for God's judgement not ours.

  • Hey genius,

The 2nd Amendment was written with the English Civil War in mind, as well as the various attempted confiscations in 1775 by the King's troops, and, it was directed toward the U.S. gov't, and not with State gov't in mind. Gitlow v. New York--unfortunately replacing the far more legitimate Barron v. Baltimore--altered the orientation so much that it has left everyone scratching their heads regarding the "Right to Bear Arms" amendment.

But if sodomites can avoid being stoned (also known as justice), via the 14th Amendment and the Bill of Rights, then the gun nut can keep his AK.  It is a sad day in America when radical egalitarians can take over a once beautiful country, transform their narrow ideology into law, and force the rest of us to conform to their dogma that faggots be treated with equality and respect.

One of the reasons for the Amendment's vagueness was the attempt for it not to imply that the U.S. gov't had such powers, as might require a limitation such as the 2nd Amendment.

Legion, others may not have been as well educated as you...

but someone has now been schooled.

  • (offers secret FCHS handshake to haight)

  • g_w, well stated opinion, but we will just have to agree to disagree.  But this isn't just my opinion but that of learned legal scholars.  Here is a primer:

    http://criminaljusticelaw.us/issues/gun-control/10-bill-rights-vague/

    Here is an excerpt:

"Many have noted that the Amendments in the Bill of Rights appear to be not only vague, but intentionally so. Indeed, we have to ask ourselves, “If these guys were so smart, why did they make the Bill of Rights Vague,” and “Was this intentional?”

In answer to the first question, it does appear that at least some, if not all of the Amendments were intentionally vague.  For instance, we do know that the Ninth Amendment was created vague on purpose so that if could encompass virtually anything that a person could reasonably expect would not be suppressed. More will be said on this in Chapter 19.

To be sure, we must accept the fact too that no law can be passed which will not be vague in some way. This is simply because of the nature of language and is in part why principles are superior to laws, as is emphasized throughout this book."

  • To my classmate, Miss Stagner (sp?) was an excellent teacher.  BTW, enjoy your amusing posts. You’re able to keep the hate and negativity at bay in your comments.  I just had to go to the dark side and call O.F. a moron.  Their rhetoric of I’m always right and you’re always wrong spewing from every comment is pitiful and the hate that must permeate in their paranoid thoughts is incomprehensible.

And Pitchforkprotester, if you can’t comprehend what I wrote, ask Fry. Oh snap!

  • @Legion:

I disagree. I feel the Amendments were written in simple language so as to be no misinterpretation or interpretation needed. If the founding fathers were as future minded as you say why did they not simply state that? I firmly believe the Constitution of the United States and Amendments have withstood the test of time and need no interpretation. Permitting interpretation allows politics and personal prejudices into play. While I agree that this has taken place over the years makes me wonder if this has contributed to the erosion of our most important document. Just my opinion.

  • Not necessarily a nazi, but I DO recognize proper American English when I see it. And that comes from 30+ years of doin' this job plus the learnin' I got in school.

  • What you the SJ grammar Nazi now Steve? I wouldn't brag to much about being a FCHS grad. It's not all that impressionable.

  • Pitch, one possible explanation is that Haight said two things strung together as one sentence, thusly: "Steve Fry is correct (natch). This O.F. person picking out same-sex marriages definitely exposes them as a homophobic moron." Makes perfect sense to this FCHS grad. Plus, haight appears to know how to use a subject and verb, and how to spell correctly. I'd welcome him as a County grad. :o)

  •   Steve Fry is correct and by this O.F. person picking out the same sex marriages law definitely exposes them as a homophobic moron

gezzz *smh* you got that from what Steve Fry said? And you call someone else a moron. Bet you went to County didn't ya? lmao

  • Steve Fry is correct and by this O.F. person picking out the same sex marriages law definitely exposes them as a homophobic moron.

  •    It is a sad day in America that the extreme right wing is still filled with religious zealots who demand that their narrow ideology be codified into law to force the rest of us to conform to their dogma regarding gays and minorities.

    That's an oxymoron statement Legion.

If the majority in 2004 of Kentucky citizens,1,222,125, or 75% voted against recongizing and preforming same-sex marriages where 417.097 or 25.45% voted for, I cannot see how this qualifies as a right wing religious zealots problem. Since this state is mostly Demorcatic and votes same.

Guess religious zealots have "D"s and "R"s after their names ugh?

  • dailyvowelmovement, March 5, 2014 10:55AM

"Legion, reading your comments in which you so gracefully show your educational upbringing and identify a group of people as "queers", in my humble opinion you are on the same level as an Islamic fundamentalist soley quoting scripture and blindly follow what is written in what is said to be a book of fiction."

Well, you are certainly entitled to your humble opinion as you "gracefully show your educational upbringing", or whatever, but didn't they teach you about satire in your fancy-smancy boarding school?  The term "queer" is in the vernacular of folks like Obama Fan, although they (like their KKK brotherhood) have learned that they must be more subtle in their references to those that they despise and discriminate against.  It is my intent not to let them get away with it, by calling it exactly what it is.  Jeeze, if I got to 'splain it to ya'...

"Uneducated individuals can be educated, understand and possibly tolerate and accept an individual’s choice. Unfortunately those that make a conscious choice to promote “hate” can’t be changed. It’s surprising that the most powerful and allegedly best and affluent country in the world is confronted with these issues. Bigots on the other hand...can't be taught tollerance."

That is what I have been trying to tell ya'!  Nobody can change folks like Obama Fan, so the only thing left is to ridicule them!  That is the only thing that they understand.

    I stand at the ready...

  • If a heterosexual couple gets married in Kentucky but moves to North Carolina, that state is still required to recognize that marriage performed in another state.  So why should it be any different for a gay marriage?  Answer...it shouldn't.  Just because certain people have a problem with gay marriage or anything gay for that matter doesn't mean it should be a "sad day in America".  The last time I checked we are ALL equal under the law.  IF you were ever in history class you would have NEVER heard any Constitutional reference about marriage because it isn't in there.

One other thing.  If you don't understand why different states have carry, conceal laws I suggest you google it.  You'd be surprised how much you can learn by actually looking things up yourself. lol

  • Flintlock pistols carried concealed in a jacket was common during the colonial era. The idea that the writers of the constitution couldn't forsee concealed carry is ridiculous. Furthermore, the 2nd amendment allowed private citizens to own the most advanced military weapons of thier era, equal to that fielded by the most powerful military in the world. They didn't write in a prohibition to owning mortars and cannons, but you think they would have completely changed their minds if they saw a rifle that you didn't have to reload as often?

  •

Legion, reading your comments in which you so gracefully show your educational upbringing and identify a group of people as "queers", in my humble opinion you are on the same level as an Islamic fundamentalist soley quoting scripture and blindly follow what is written in what is said to be a book of fiction. Uneducated individuals can be educated, understand and possibly tolerate and accept an individual’s choice. Unfortunately those that make a conscious choice to promote “hate” can’t be changed. It’s surprising that the most powerful and allegedly best and affluent country in the world is confronted with these issues. Bigots on the other hand...can't be taught tollerance.

  • This is a completely false comparison, but par for the course for Obama Fan!  There is no exclusion in the Constitution that all people shall have inalienable rights except queers.  It is a sad day in America that the extreme right wing is still filled with religious zealots who demand that their narrow ideology be codified into law to force the rest of us to conform to their dogma regarding gays and minorities.  Sad day indeed!  You must have missed the section in Bible School where gay marriage was not mentioned by Jesus even once. Didn't you ever wonder about that?

The right to bear arms does not include the right to conceal carry, or the right to possess hand grenades, assault rifles, etc.  Just look at the crude level of the state of the art personal weaponry at the time when the Constitution and Bill of Rights were written.  There were not too many types as the Industrial Revolution had not yet taken place, but they were all big and bulky and single shot. After the Civil War, the number of gun factories grew exponentially.  Ever try to conceal a Brown Bess Musket in your underwear?  It is a lot easier for me to conceal my Ruger .380!

That is why the Amendments were often written in vague language, so that the courts could interpret them in accordance with the technology of the times. The founding fathers were smart like that!

  • Steve I don't know, Uh maybe judges shouldn't pick and choose the ones they want to force us to accept. Problem is the people here has already spoken on this one matter. Civil rights has gotten so broad that it discriminates against its role of protecting people . We now have a branch of government overriding the other two branches and the peoples will.

  • States also don't recognize other states' legal drinking age. Some things are legal in other states, some are not. Why is that a problem?

  • Obama fan, You got me. I totally agree with ya on this one. The Judges needs to quit with their lawmaking from the bench. Separation of power needs a good checking. But Hey, cant display our flag for offending Mexicans also. You didn't miss history class, you are in it now so watch America implode!
