Obama, Veterans,Illegals

Obama Fan Published:

We are still in a war in Afghanistan, Russia is still in the Ukraine, Hamas is attacking Israel, Isis has over run Iraq.....Obama's response cut the military budget and send pink slips to active duty soldiers.  Hey but dont worry Veterans he will take care of you when you get home.  Does he deport illegals? No now he wants $3.7 BILLION to help take care of them.  Well let me tell you a veterans story.  He served in a World War in the Pacific theatre.  His health has deteriorated.  He is now in a VA center where he has to pay Full room and board. Not even a mere penny from the government.  Now up until a few weeks ago they did provide rehab care.  Well I guess that was to expensive for Obama since he needs(wants) more $  for people who are in this country ILLEGALLY.  So they now decided to no longer pay for rehab services.  Instead it has been moved to medicare which makes him responsible for 20% of the bill for a service that had been free. Well I guess in Obama's mind illegals are obviously more important than a veteran that served what used to be a great country.....

  • BTW, how did you get through that whole disjointed paragraph without mentioning Benghazzzzzii?

  • You sir, are incorrect as usual. In fact, I have never seen such a mismash of BS...you know, there is this thing called the news media where all of your BS is refuted with the facts...here is a couple of them.

We are still in Afghanistan where Dubya took us over a decade ago to start a war with a country just because 18 terrorists (all but three were Suadis) had spent time there before spending more time in the US planning to bomb the towers with airplanes.  Dumb war number 1.  But we are getting out soon thanks to President Obama...and we haven't been suckered into any more dumb wars since he took office.  Thank you, Mr. President.

Russia is still in Crimea.  Putin touched off a diplomatic crisis and tense showdown with the West by annexing Crimea and moving Russian forces to the border with Ukraine. But earlier this week, he instructed Russia’s parliament to repeal a law allowing Moscow to order a military intervention in Ukraine and expressed support for a ceasefire between the newly-installed Kiev government andpro-Russian rebels in the country’s east.  After months of threatening the start of Cold War 2.0, Russia’s Vladimir Putin has shifted from troop movements to talk of compromise.

Western leaders – including Secretary of State John Kerry – have stressed that words must be translated to actions.

"It is critical for Russia to show in the next hours, literally, that they're moving to help disarm the separatists, to encourage them to disarm, to call on them to lay down their weapons and to begin to become part of a legitimate process," Kerry told reporters in Paris on Thursday.

Kerry noted that possible sanctions against Russia will be discussed later in the day by European Union leaders in Belgium."We all agree that they need to be ready. But our preference is not to have to be in a sanctions mode,” he added.

"The endgame is making sure that Ukraine remains neutral and isn’t a member of NATO and that Russia still has significant influence in the country," said Clements. "It’s clear from Russia’s perspective now that its goal can probably be met without having military intervention."

And that is about as close to war as the vast majority of Americans want the US to get into.  We are not the world police.  We have enough problems right here at home and these military intervention cost us lots and lots of money!

The U.S. war in Iraq has cost $1.7 trillion with an additional $490 billion in benefits owed to war veterans, expenses that could grow to more than $6 trillion over the next four decades counting interest, a study released on Thursday said.

    Nuff said about that, Sparky!

President Obama has deported 2 million illegals...making him the Deporter in Chief according to most conservative pundits. But these kids are refugees...and that is a seperate issue entirely. They are escaping countries that are considered twice as dangerous as Iraq at the peak of the insurgency.

The VA will do just fine once the House of Representatives gives it the funding it needs to hire enough doctors to handle the nearly 50% increase in patients.  Presently, the current staff has 13-hour workdays fueled by large patient loads that kept growing as colleagues quit and were not replaced.

In the past three years, primary-care appointments have leapt 50 percent while the department’s staff of primary care doctors has grown by only 9 percent, according to department statistics.

Those primary care doctors are supposed to be responsible for about 1,200 patients each, but many now treat upward of 2,000.  The President cannot spend money...only Congress can do that and they refuse to even talk about it.

Congress and VA must not rely on budgetary gimmicks, such as unrealistic estimates of operational improvements, efficiencies, collections, carryovers, and contingencies. These undocumented 'savings' have rarely materialized and have contributed significantly to funding shortfalls that have plagued VA for more than a decade.  You can't lay this terd on the plate of the President...he didn't lay it and he ain't gonna eat it.  He who smelt it, dealt it.
