Today's State Journal seems to imply that I did not comply with filing a campaign finance report, which is not an accurate assumption. In accordance with Kentucky statutes, I filed an intent statement with the KY Registry of Election Finance in January that I did not intend to collect or expend more than $3,000 for the May Primary Race. My position has always been to conduct a grassroots campaign by going door-to-door and personally asking for consideration of your vote. I have attempted to do just that. Obviously, I have not been able to knock on every door, but I am visiting as many neighborhoods as possible, and will continue to do so.
Just as a comment, when I do file my campaign finance report after the Primary, I will be reporting that I have expended less than $1,000.
Thank you and please excercise your right to VOTE on May 22nd!
