A 53-year-old man wrecked his motorcycle late Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Rocky Branch and Switzer roads.
Sheriff Pat Melton said Steve Clark was riding his Ultra Classic Electra Glide Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Rocky Branch when he veered off the right side of the road and down a hill.
Clark was not wearing a helmet, Melton said, but he was conscious after the crash, and he probably suffered broken ribs and a collapsed lung.
“He didn’t remember what happened but went for a heck of a ride,” Melton said.
Clark was taken to Frankfort Regional Medical Center. His condition is stable. The Franklin County Fire Department and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. Deputy Stephen Campbell is still investigating the incident.
