Police search for 4 suspects in armed robbery

Frankfort Police are looking for four black men who allegedly robbed a man while armed with a handgun early Wednesday.

Joseph Smith, 35, of Frankfort, told police he was robbed in the area of Fourth and Murray streets around 3 a.m. Wednesday. Smith said the four black men were in a gold, four-door Ford prior to the crime, and one of the men had a semi-automatic handgun, police say.

Two of the suspects are described as a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black male wearing a baseball hat. The other two suspects are black males, but no descriptions are available.

Police ask anyone with information on this robbery to call 875-8523.

Information may also be given anonymously to Frankfort Crime Stoppers at 875-8648 or www.frankfortcrimestoppers.com. Crime Stoppers may pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.
