A man allegedly ran two people over and hit a vehicle while driving away from a party after getting into an argument.
Franklin County Sheriff Pat Melton said Justin Gordon was at a party Saturday night on Holt Lane when he allegedly started using drugs in front of some children.
Melton said a heated argument began between Gordon and two individuals, so Gordon decided to leave.
As he was driving off, Gordon allegedly ran over two men — injuring one victim’s calf to the point of possibly needing tendon and ligament surgery and possibly breaking the other victim’s foot.
Gordon also allegedly ran into a van while fleeing.
The Sheriff’s Office had received a call about the fight and the hit and run, and about 15 minutes later Gordon allegedly called 911.
“(Gordon) reported that he had been jumped and that they damaged his car… which is not what happened” Melton said.
Deputies located Gordon on Shenandoah Drive and took him to Franklin County Regional Jail.
He is charged with wanton endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident.
“The case is still under investigation,” Melton said.
