Water main break affects service for 369 customers

Break reported Thursday morning on Green Wilson Road.

State Journal staff report, Published:

A water main break in Franklin County is affecting service for hundreds of customers, said Frankfort/Franklin County Deputy Director of Emergency Management Jeff Fogg.

Fogg said the break was reported about 7 a.m. on Green Wilson Road, near Deerland Drive.

Around 369 customers are affected, Fogg said. Some were experiencing low water pressure, while some were without water entirely.

Water will be turned off while crews make the necessary repairs.

At this time, Fogg said the cause of the break is unknown.

He wasn’t sure how long repairs would take, but said he expected them to be completed today. Once water service is restored, affected areas will be under a boil water advisory.

There are currently no road closures associated with this main break.
