After a two-year legal battle, Douglas "Woody" Baldwin has settled his wrongful termination lawsuit against Kentucky State University for $100,000.
The KSU Board of Regents unanimously approved the settlement - to be paid to Baldwin in one lump sum - on Friday during its regular board meeting. The board met with attorneys William E. Johnson and Guthrie True for less than an hour prior to voting on the settlement.
Bill Wilson, chairman of the board of regents, said the settlement is good news for the school.
"I think it is," said Wilson following the board meeting. "It's a wonderful way to get things cleaned up."
