A Frankfort man and two others were indicted by a federal grand jury Thursday for trafficking in and conspiring to distribute 100 kilos or more of marijuana.
The men allegedly are part of a drug organization in Texas responsible for the distribution of more than 100 kilos of marijuana in Kentucky.
The Frankfort Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency confiscated a total of about $61,000 in cash and 47 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $50,000 in the course of making the three arrests in Frankfort.
Arrested were Neil S. Clark, 28, of Frankfort; Enrique Ernesto Garza, 48, Corpus Christi, Texas; and Allen G. Walker, 37, Harrodsburg.
The indictment says Garza and Clark intended to use the more than $60,000 in U.S. currency to aid them in distributing the marijuana.
