Blood on the sidewalk in front of the door to a Frankfort apartment and yellow crime scene tape were the only indications that a man was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds there early this morning.
Frankfort Police spokesman Steve Clark said a call came in at 2:54 a.m. today about a man seen lying outside apartment #6 at Forest Villa Apartments on the East-West Connector.
When police arrived, they discovered the body of a black male who Clark said had been shot multiple times.
Clark said an autopsy was scheduled for later today.
He would not comment on whether a weapon was found at the scene and declined to say if there were any suspects at this time.
The identity of the man is being withheld until his next of kin can be notified, Clark said.
