Time hasn't been on Juan Rejon's side.
Rejon, 40, was more than 1,500 miles away from his home in Mexico when he died suddenly because of heart problems at his Frankfort home Tuesday, April 8.
He had been working at the La Fiesta Grande Restaurant located at 314 Versailles Road as a cook's assistant for the past six years while his family lived in Mexico.
His wife, Odulia, 6-year-old son, Juan and 6-year-old daughter, Patricia, still reside in his hometown of Palapa, a small Mexican town located in the state of Gerrero, where they are waiting for his body to arrive so they can give him a proper burial.
But the route to his final resting place turns out to be as complicated as it is far away because of all the red tape involved in shipping his remains to Mexico.
